A wise acquisition for the home gallery. Arrives unframed and unstretched. Handmade by Susilo Tomo Born in Pati, Central Java, Susilo Tomo is a dedicated artist. He began to paint alongside his friends, influenced by community members and local artists. Tomo and his friends would take delight in making intricate drawings with colored pencils and then for fun tell each other the themes behind their composition. Tomo would be the only one amongst his friends to continue a path in art, eventually majoring in Fine Arts at the IKIP Institute for Teacher Training. Towards the end of 1995 Tomo decided to move to Bali in search of inspiration, and after a brief period in the paradisiacal island he decided to make it his home. Tomo continued to paint and his work began to sell well, thus improving his living conditions. Tomo`s work is now greatly admired, especially in Bali and Java where he is appreciated by a larger audience.
