You ll never look at the slopes in the same way again after playing this combat-focused snowboarding game in which you punch and kick your way to the finish line. Snow Savagery Brief comic-book-style cut-scenes explain the baffling plot. In the future, an unexplained climate change covers the globe in fresh powder. Now, you must complete various missions after you are conveniently placed atop an extreme slope. As you carve your way down the steep mountains, weapons are available for pick up including spiked bats and steel chains. If you find yourself unarmed, you can also punch and kick enemy snowboarders or grab and toss them to their doom. You can choose your boarder from a list of fictional characters and real-life professionals. Two players can battle head-to-head via a split screen in the Duel Mode. Although the developers at Konami concentrated mostly on killer combat, there is still plenty of fancy riding to be done. The C-Stick can be used for various grabs, the Y Button lets you grind, and with the Control Stick you can perform all manner of spins and flips. The action zooms along at a quick pace with smooth animation and a good sense of speed. You can customize your rider with authentic gear from extreme outfitters like Airwalk, Billabong, Vans and Burton.
