The SATA150 TX2plus controller lets you add up to two new Serial ATA/150 drives with an extra ATA port for attaching two new or existing Ultra ATA drives. SATA150 TX Series cards follow Serial ATA specifications with peak burst data transfer rates of 150MB/sec and use sophisticated data handling techniques to make transfers more efficient by reducing I/O processing by the host system CPU.The cards also protect against data loss -- even when drives are running at top speed -- because of CRC errorchecking, serial data transmissions, and use of Serial ATA cabling. Serial data transmission (found in Fibre Channel storage and Gigabit Ethernet networks) improves data integrity by reducing "crosstalk" errors that can lead to data loss. The thinner, longer Serial ATA cabling allows for easier routing and improved air circulation within the PC chassis.
