Hans Peter Moland directs this bleak thriller about a jaded urban writer named Henrik Larsen whose taste for adventure and adversity makes him leave his cozy Oslo flat for a perilous Arctic adventure. He joins a fur trapping expedition with two other men, a crude, foul mouthed hunter named Randbaek (Skarsgard) and a scientist named Holm, and heads out to Greenland with them. Ignored by both at first, Henrik soon becomes the object of Randbaek`s derision as the trapper regales him with imagined tales of his girlfriend`s sexual indiscretions, causing the tension that has already developed between the men to soar to murderous heights.
